Dr. Dale Nystrom, MD

Dr. Nystrom practiced in Sioux Center for 26 years before beginning his practice in Hawarden in 2007. He has served as the President of the Sioux County Medical Society and as the Medical Director of the Sioux Center Ambulance Squad.

In 2007, Dr. Nystrom was honored with the Family Physician of the Year award, and in 2017, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians. These awards recognize his dedication, the quality of care he provides, and his compassion for patients. Dr. Nystrom is well-known for his local contributions and currently serves as the Medical Director for Hawarden Regional Healthcare. He is also the Medical Director for the ambulance services in Hawarden and Ireton.

Additionally, Dr. Nystrom is an Adjunct Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Iowa and Bethel University, where he enjoys teaching medical and mid-level students.

Dr. Nystrom and his wife, Lynette, are proud parents of four sons: Tomas, David, Steven, and Mark.
