Kristin Thompson, ARNP

Kristin Thompson is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) who commenced her healthcare career 12 years ago as a patient care technician. She has served as a registered nurse since 2018, having graduated from the University of South Dakota. Kristin began her nursing career at Sanford in the Cardiology and Medical-Surgical units before transitioning to Cardiology and Vascular care. In 2023, she obtained her master’s degree in nursing from Mount Marty University. For the past 18 months, she has practiced as an ARNP in Vermillion, South Dakota, specializing in urgent care.

Kristin is married to Alex Thompson, and they are the parents of two children, Lainey and Brooks, in addition to their Mini Goldendoodle, Nash. She actively volunteers with the Beresford Ambulance service. Kristin enjoys spending time with family and friends, sports, reading, and being outdoors. Kristin is excited to join the Hawarden Regional Healthcare team and looks forward to building relationships with everyone.
